Pledge to Tote Green on Earth Day

The Beleaf Tote ... the First in a Line of Organic and Recyclable Fabrics Stitched with Purpose(TM) - One Percent of Sales Donated to 1% For The Planet

MANASQUAN, N.J., March 25 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- It may not be fashionable to be seen sporting paper or plastic, but making a statement with ecofashion is in. Americans throw away 100 billion plastic bags a year, recycling less than one percent of them, according to the Worldwatch Institute, an environmental research and advocacy group in Washington. Perfect for Earth Day and beyond, the new Beleaf tote solves the paper or plastic dilemma and makes it easy for earth-savvy shoppers to take a plastic bag out of circulation and promote the reduction of deforestation. Plus, one percent of all sales are donated to the non-profit organization, 1% For The Planet.

organic cotton Beleaf toteMade with 100 percent organic cotton and imprinted with water-based inks, the oversized tote was designed to promote sustainability. The bag was designed by Beleaf's creative director, Keith Rizzi, who also heads up Rizco Design, an award-winning, green design firm located in Manasquan, New Jersey. Beleaf is earth-friendly fashion that is Stitched with Purpose(TM). "The bag was designed to encourage everyday people to make one simple change that can make a difference," says Keith Rizzi. "Helping to reduce the number of biodegradable-resistant plastic bags is something we all can do to benefit Earth."

Proceeds from the sale of Beleaf are being donated to the non-profit organization 1% For The Planet. Founded in 2001, 1% For The Planet is an alliance of companies that recognize the true cost of doing business and donate one percent of their sales to environmental organizations worldwide. Beleaf's annual donations are directed to the Consolidated Graphics Division of American Forests(R) which focuses on reducing deforestation caused by the design and printing industry due to increased paper consumption.

The bag features the Beleaf logo, along with a free-flowing design of a butterfly pattern made from repeated Beleaf logos. The butterflies communicate evolution and a sense of change. Additionally, the colors of a butterfly's wings are made to match their surroundings because the environment naturally provides its inhabitants with protection, as well as nourishment and sustainability. That is the premise behind Beleaf: in order to achieve balance, and ensure the planet's future, we must do the same for our environment.

The Beleaf tote retails for $36 and is available at www.beleaf.com. It is the first item launched from the collection. Additional pieces will be introduced by late 2008.

TJ’s Custom Jeans announces the Move of Their State of the Art Manufacturing Facility and Customer Service Center

PARRAS, COAHUILA, Mexico, March 13 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- TJ's Custom Jeans (Tailormade Jeanswear Ltd.), the global leader in made-to-measure jeans and chinos, has relocated their facilities to Parras, Mexico. The choice of move to Parras de la Fuenta (Parras of the fountain) is significant in that the town which is considered an oasis in the desert has 2 premium quality denim mills and boasts a 100 year old history of weaving denim fabric and sewing jeans. The move to Mexico will also position Tailormade Jeanswear closer to the majority of clients and enable a vast improvement in customer service and expansion of quality products offered.

TJ's Custom JeansTailormade Jeanswear Ltd's Managing Director Sam Meeks explains, "The TJ's brand of denim jeans fills a void in everyday retail apparel offerings of jeans. Instead of being mass produced, the big difference is TJ's are specifically made to the unique requirements of their hard to fit and special needs clients through mass customization technology."

"Many of TJ's Custom fit jeans are produced for men and women 6' to 7' tall with leg lengths movie stars would envy. Plus size waists and hips 50-inch to 80-inch, 42-inch inseams, and other special requests are very common. Conversely very small individuals with inseams as short as 22" or waists as small as 23-inch can fulfill their needs with TJ's just as easily as their larger counterparts."

"The majority of TJ's female clients have a very common complaint in their jeans don't fit properly because they have pear shaped figures. Having very small waists and larger hips often cause their store bought jeans to stick out in the back and fit poorly. This is one of the many requests TJ's receives for a solution."

"Special requirements from other clients are for a pair of custom jeans due to medical or physical problems because they simply cannot find jeans that suit their needs in retail shops. Sitting jeans for clients in wheelchairs include requests for no back pockets or yokes to relieve pressure points, reinforced belt loops, elasticated waists or extra long leg lengths. All of these requests are no problem since TJ's can do whatever the client needs to improve comfort and usability."

Another example of customer fulfillment is TJ's Clone a Jean service where the client's favorite pair of jeans can be replicated into a new pair. Clients send Tailormade-Jeanswear their old and worn "favorite pair" of jeans to be copied because they cannot find another pair that fits like them. TJ's specialist pattern team measure these well loved jeans carefully before starting on a unique pattern for the client. New "favorites" are then easy to produce and in 2 to 3 weeks clients are wearing a pair of replicated custom jeans they are confident will fit them the way they want.

Other clients send Tailormade Jeanswear their own unique measurements by measuring over their favorite fitting pair of jeans themselves. The new TJ's Custom Jeans solve one or more of their denim jeans problems such as having to try on 20 pair to find one that "nearly" fits and wasting their valuable time looking for jeans that actually do fit them well.

Most of Tailormade Jeanswear's clients mention the jeans they find in retail stores don't satisfy their needs and don't give them the comfort and fit they would like. These problems are permanently solved with TJ's custom made to measure denim jeans because the patterns for every order are kept on file and easily adjusted when needed. The TJ's team delights in the positive mails received in providing solutions for all their satisfied clients.

The majority of TJ's clients have a hard time finding jeans that are short or long enough in the legs or small or large enough in the waist or hips in the styling and fabrics they like. Their retail bought jeans simply don't flatter their body because they don't fit properly. TJ's aim is to help clients look good, feel good and naturally feel more confident by giving them the fit and comfort they want in great fitting premium quality custom made jeans and chinos. Because these individuals have such a problem with their denim jeans other fabric choices are offered such as corduroy and chino twills in addition to the already wide variety of denim offerings. This fills another void in both the clients fit and choice problems.

Personalization is offered giving the client the option of having their name or nickname embroidered inside the garment. Once the order is taken each pair is handcrafted through as many as 80 different customer service, smart programming, value added manufacturing, and wet processing operations to control the idiosyncrasies of producing a great fitting pair of TJ's Custom Jeans. TJ's premium quality custom fitting jeans are sold at far less than many of the designer jeans available on the market today and are currently shipped to over 30 countries around the world.

Tailors have been making custom clothing and in particular suits and shirts for centuries so what's new here? The new twist is that computer and Internet Technology has allowed a one-to-one relationship between individuals and a sophisticated state of the art factory. This opens up the world of mass-customization for the average consumer.

The term currently used by industry leaders is that the "prosumer" becomes involved in the design and specification process with the manufacturer before production begins rather than simply being a consumer of goods or services offered off the shelf. The shape, form, and desires of clients are the starting point for a truly great fitting pair of TJ's custom premium quality jeans. TJ's Custom Jeans are the modern answer to frustrating and discouraging empty handed trips to shopping malls in search of "that perfect fitting pair of jeans."

Additional Information:
Tailormade Jeanswear was established in 2003 offering factory direct made to measure custom denim jeans. The organization consists of design to wet processing under one roof. Specializing in premium quality custom denim jeans produced to the client's unique measurements and specifications.

President Tuxedo Expands ‘Bux for Tux’ Donations to High Schools in Lower Michigan

WARREN, Mich., March 5 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- President Tuxedo, a regional company providing men's formal wear, is expanding its "Bux for Tux - Giving Back to Education" school donation program throughout lower Michigan and south to Toledo in Ohio.

President Tuxedo"Bux for Tux," donates up to $5, 5 to 10 percent of the cost of a typical tuxedo rental of $50 to $100 for a school prom, to schools throughout Michigan and south to Toledo, Ohio. Each school gets at least $2 per tux, and the amount goes up as the number of rentals increases.

It's a simple program, according to President Tuxedo CEO Robert Gafa. "We partner with student or parent groups at each high school, providing all the information and materials they need to alert students to the program, and even go out to each school to measure students in order to have a tux ready when they come into the store."

"President Tuxedo is proud to match or exceed the 5 percent of sales donated to local communities by Target stores, regarded as a model for corporate generosity," Gafa says.

This will be the second year of prom Bux for Tux. More than 40 high schools out of 600 in the region participated last year. One of those was Allen Park High School in Metro Detroit. The school was delighted with the results, raising $380, said Kathy Rinna, Allen Park High School PTA member, who said Allen Park will use the money to help keep prom tickets affordable for students this school year. She said she "can't imagine any school not wanting to participate in Bux for Tux." That donation represents 76 rentals, about 35 percent of boys in the senior class at Allen Park, a percentage Gafa said was "great" for the first year. Two other high schools, Fraser and Monroe, both in Metro Detroit, earned top dollars up to $410.

"We at President Tuxedo are very excited to give back to the schools and communities that have been our customers for the past 40 years. Since we are a Michigan-based company, we want to help support and improve our schools in these difficult economic times throughout Michigan and Toledo. Our employees are excited to participate in Bux for Tux in their own local communities," said Gafa.

The company provides other support to high school students throughout the year, including a $25 prom savings card for each student renting a prom tux, opportunities for students to earn discounted or free tux rentals and win cash prizes for referring other students to President Tuxedo, and free formal wear for plays, prom rallies and other events.

Men’s Fashion Springs Ahead with Ryan Rowe - New Luxury Men’s Footwear Brand Launches March 2008

NEW YORK, N.Y., March 3 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- A breath of fresh air enters men's fashion with the launch of Ryan Rowe, a new luxury men's footwear brand available in March at Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom and fine retail outlets nationwide. Ryan Rowe is on target with the current shift of men's increased focus on style.

Ryan Rowe 'Bentley' classic driving moc"As men grow more style savvy, their attentions will branch out into all aspects of their appearance, including footwear. Until now, there has been a real shortage of creative and compelling offerings in the market," says Ryan Ringholz, Ryan Rowe partner/creative director and an award winning designer whose ability to translate European sensibilities to mass market is most evident in his design experience with Puma, Diesel, Pony, New Balance, Jil Sander, Marc Jacobs/Nuala, Tretorn, and Dry-shoD.

The entire collection has been created with the versatility of being worn both for day or evening, dressing up or down, with jeans or a suit. Styles such as the Leighton, Bentley, and Tipton are exaggerations of classic driving moc, traditional English lace up and sneaker patterns, respectively.

Vacchetta leather (the finest Italian tanned leather), full length Poron sock liners (anti-microbial + anti-bacterial), hand painted canvas, patent suede, natural vegetable dyes, Blake stitching, and interesting combinations of color and texture are just some of the cutting edge details that exemplify the Ryan Rowe brand aesthetic. As members of 1% For The Planet, Ryan Rowe has a commitment to bettering the environment and delivering a greener product.

Partners Ringholz and Rowe Samieian in their respective capacities have undoubtedly impacted the modern footwear business. "Even with so much experience and involvement in footwear, I still felt there was a void in the market. I was unable to find affordable shoes that reflect the look and quality of my high-end tastes. Hence, the concept of 'Accessible Luxury' - making high quality products accessible and appreciated by the most creative and inspired consumer," became the foundation of our brand," says Samieian, a proven master at revitalizing and building brands such as Sacha London, Dr. Martens and Diesel.
