Insurance Professional Trades in Ties for T-shirts and Creates Positive Messages

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Jan. 11 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- After 39 years of working as an insurance professional, Bob Johnson of the Bob Johnson Project, decided it was time for a change. Upon retiring, he traded in his ties for t-shirts and has worked with a designer to create a t-shirt line with a positive message.

Caption: Women's Long Sleeve T-shirt, Policy No. BJ-7496While the t-shirt business is very different from the insurance industry, Johnson was not able to easily abandon 39 years of insurance jargon; it is part of who he is. He refers to the positive visual messages portrayed on his t-shirts as "policies" and the t-shirts itself as "coverage."

The t-shirts are designed in vintage style and currently, six creative designs are available. They include: circus, hula hoop, origami, weightlifter, horse and butterfly.

Positive messages vary based on the design. For example, the circus has a message of "there is no limit to what you can do"; the Hula Hoop communicates that "you don't need to be young to be youthful"; and the Butterfly message inspires people to "take time to enjoy the little things in life."

"All t-shirts are designed to fit and feel like an old favorite," Denise Plumb, t-shirt designer said. "They have all been washed several times, are pre-shrunk, and manufactured from 100 percent organic cotton; they are super soft and much like a t-shirt that has been loved for many years."

Bob Johnson t-shirts are manufactured in the U.S. and are for sale on the Bob Johnson Project web site. Plans are currently underway to expand into other retail outlets. In the spring, expansion also includes adding short-sleeve t-shirts, men's and possibly children's designs to the line. Currently, only long-sleeve, women's t-shirts are available.

"I bought one of each," Kathlyn Horan of Atlanta, Ga. Said. "I only hope that Bob creates one more so I can wear a different one each day of the week."

According to Bob, "change is good and it's never too late." He hopes that his clients will be inspired by these new polices and coverage. Each t-shirt comes with its own policy number so customers are covered for life.

Introducing gus(TM) - Fine Leather Fashion Accessories for Today’s Modern Man

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Jan. 8 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- gus is pleased to introduce their premier line of higher end leather wallets and accessories designed exclusively for men and featuring beautifully hand-sewn craftsmanship as well as their unique "splitshot perforation" styling.

Caption: gus style premium men's fashion accessoriesThe introductory line includes a men's passport folio, wallets, small and sleek card cases, and a brushed stainless steel money clip. Each of the pieces are hand-crafted from Italian, vegetable-tanned leather, with calfskin lining, hand-stitched corner trim, and their own "Splitshot" perforation process to give the items a very authentic and worn appearance.

"gus is all about bringing back that really nice quality of handmade goods but with the addition of today's style and functionality," explains gus design partner, Mark Loncar. "There simply isn't a lot of well-made men's accessories anymore that are hand-crafted, masculine, and wear well over time. gus is looking to bring masculinity back," quips Loncar.

The Passport Folio is the highlight of the gus line as it features dedicated "SIM" chip pockets to allow travelers to easily store their phone SIM chips from various countries. The Folio also accommodates frequent traveler cards, foreign currency, receipts and such. Nevertheless, it fits comfortably inside a jacket pocket.

Using thicker, vegetable-tanned leather gives the line an authentic and rich feel while also developing that characteristic patina that is unique to vegetable-tanned leathers.

The Splitshot perforation is another styling element developed to give the line its own unique look. It cannot be easily duplicated, as the process requires multiple steps to give the piece a truly authentic look and feel.

The line is currently carried by Zero Minus Plus at Fred Segal in Santa Monica as well as other specialty boutiques throughout the country and online at www.gusstyle.com

About gus(TM)

Custom Jeans Company Expands Product Line, Caters to All Shapes, Sizes and Physical Disabilities

MUMBAI, India - Sept. 28 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- In a world filled with people of all shapes, sizes and varying physical needs, the fashion industry has to recognize that not everyone is a perfect size. Make Your Own Jeans is a fashion-savvy company that recognizes the importance of non-conforming, eye-catching styles.

Caption: Oliveo jeansMake Your Own Jeans (MakeYourOwnJeans.com), is a leading online source for people who want and need to customize their jeans. They have recently expanded their product line to include more than 150 different types of denims to choose from, stretch and non-stretch, and have also added suits to their lineup (MakeYourOwnSuits.com), that include sport coats.

"We have manufactured more than 20,000 pairs of jeans for our customers," Harry Shahari, founder of Make Your Own Jeans, said. "Apart from our regular orders we have made jeans with up to 85-inch waists and 73-inch lengths. We also regularly create comfortable and fashionable styles for people in wheelchairs and others with special needs."

No matter what shape or size a person is, Make Your Own Jeans can create a custom-designed pair of jeans, sport coat, suit, or other piece of clothing that will be attractive, appropriate and comfortable for the customer to wear. Custom clothing is offered at the lowest price possible and most custom jeans are only $45.

According to Harry, the company received such overwhelming positive feedback about the jeans that they decided to add the suit component to their product line. Custom suits start at $99, the lowest-priced bespoke suit on the Internet.

Make Your Own Jeans has established their presence in the fashion industry. They work closely with organizations that cater to people with special needs such as tall people, plus sizes, and individuals with physical disabilities. In fact, they were recently featured on the National Marfan Foundation web site as a recommended company to approach for fashion needs.

Marfan syndrome is a heritable condition that affects the connective tissue making it defective and difficult to hold the framework of the body together.

Customers are so infatuated with Make Your Own Jeans' customer service and quality of clothing that they continue to return time after time.

Make Your Own Jeans saves all their customers' measurements and refers to them when a repeat order is placed. The latest technology is used to store and retrieve measurement data for each custom-made garment.

"It must be extremely satisfying to know that you cater to a group of customers who can't seem to fit in anywhere else," Kirsten Yoder, a happy customer in Wisconsin said. "I ordered my first pair of jeans only three weeks ago; they arrived last week. I am so impressed!"

Kirsten explained that after wearing the jeans only once, they felt even better than her old standbys which never fit very well, but were the best that she could do. She is 5'9" and has a small waist, but is muscular in the thighs and legs and rarely found a pair of jeans that fit. She is ready to order her next pair and plans to tell everyone she knows about the company. She was also very impressed with the personal note that accompanied the jeans and offered encouragement and inspiration.

If the customer wants it, Harry's company can make it. The process is easy and the customer simply enters their measurements and other special requirements, if necessary, in the web site's comment box; there is one on every product page.

Harryfashion, the parent company of Make Your Own Jeans, is comprised of a team of young, dynamic clothing professionals; they have more than 25 years experience selling denim and other high-end fabrics and clothing. The company produces high-quality clothing such as jeans, jackets, suits, and more. Their team of experts is involved in the process from start to end.

Make Your Own Jeans has a global presence with a strong customer base in the U.S., U.K., Germany and Australia.

People are not mass produced, so why should their clothing be? For more information, visit: www.MakeYourOwnJeans.com.

Noah’s Arcade: Alternative Kids Apparel Just Like Daddy Would Wear

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Sept. 18 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Noah's Arcade, a California-based clothing line for boys - newborn to 6T - announces a fun, hip line that caters to the edgy crowd. When co-owners of Noah's Arcade, Allyson Wagoner and Shannon Hanly, went shopping for their new baby boys, they discovered that the market for cool and happening boy's apparel was limited.

Caption: P.I.M.P - Poopie in my Pants"Everything was ducks and bears," Hanly said, "and that was not the kind of clothing that I wanted for my new baby boy."

Wagoner and Hanly became fast friends after the birth of their first sons. Wagoner was working as a prominent graphic designer in the fashion industry and Hanly was an event coordinator with an eye for flair and detail. They sought clothing inspired by their edgy lifestyles, but came up empty handed.

After designing samples for their friends, the two new moms realized that they were not the only ones interested in clothes that were freshly inspired and resembled the duds that their children's daddies were wearing.

Being creative, and with a sound business sense, the two joined forces to create Noah's Arcade.

Popular shirts and onesies include: P.I.M.P - "Poopie in My Pants"; "Mohawk"; "Shake, Rattle and Roll"; and "Little Squirt" depicting water gun play.

"Dads may not wear P.I.M.P tees," Hanly laughs, "but, the message has taken off for their little men."

Currently, Noah's Arcade sells t-shirts and onesies. In the fall, their line will be expanded to thermals and hooded sweatshirts. Their alternative fashion line is available in 28 stores throughout southern California and they are expanding, nationwide, in the fall.

Stores where Noah's Arcade items are sold include, but are not limited to: Kitson Kids, This Little Piggy Wears Cotton, Lisa Kline Kids, and Hush Baby.

Wagoner is the creative director and Hanly is in charge of sales and marketing, but most importantly, they are full-time moms who want to share their trendy and creative designs with others seeking funky and fun clothing for their kids.

"Expression is key when it comes to fashion," Wagoner said, "and we want to make sure that people have choices."
